Premier Professional Counseling Finds a Forever Home through RCLF’s SSBCI funding
Jocelyn Lane has spent her life serving others—with over 24 years in social work and a passion for mental health that led her to open Premier Professional Counseling Services in 2013. What began as a solo effort has grown into a thriving group practice with over 20 employees on the team working both in the Gulfport, Mississippi office and virtually. From individual and family counseling to group programs like parenting classes and anger management, Premier Professional Counseling Services offers compassionate, comprehensive care that supports the whole person—not just the circumstance they’re facing.
For years, Jocelyn rented her office space in Gulfport, where she built strong roots in the community. When the time came to expand, she knew she needed a larger, more customized space—but didn’t want to leave the neighborhood she had grown to love, with clients who felt like family. When the opportunity arose to purchase the very building she had been leasing, it felt like fate. Thanks to a small business loan through RCLF, Jocelyn was able to make that dream a reality.
This loan was made possible through Mississippi’s SSBCI (State Small Business Credit Initiative) funding, a powerful tool that allows RCLF to invest in entrepreneurs like Jocelyn who are making real, meaningful impacts in their communities. SSBCI funding strengthens access to capital for small businesses in Mississippi, especially minority- and women-owned enterprises, helping build stronger local economies through ownership, job creation, and long-term sustainability.
Today, with plans underway to renovate and transform her newly purchased building into a flagship office, Jocelyn is creating a lasting space of healing and hope.
