Food Truck Fun with Liz & Nomie’s

Head chef and owner of Liz & Nomie’s Gourmet Eats, Raven Allen, knew she wanted to extend her reach across the Mississippi coast, but she wasn’t sure how she would get to and from events with her equipment. Chef Allen knew she needed to upgrade her food truck and equipment to better serve customers at MS coast events as a food vendor, and she knew she would need a loan through a company that would understand her vision. Thankfully, she heard about Renaissance through the Small Business Development Center and filled out a business loan application online, where she was matched with one of our commercial lenders, Janice Marsh. 

After meeting with Ms. Marsh, Chef Allen applied for an SBA microloan through Renaissance and successfully closed on her loan just one month after her initial contact with Ms. Marsh. Now that Chef Allen has secured her loan, she was able to purchase her new truck and equipment and has attended several events on the MS coast as a food vendor, such as the Biloxi Seafood Festival, Big Play Entertainment Center’s Fall Festival, Taste Rattle and Roll, Chandy Fest, and more!
